What is RMSA?

Responsible Management Standard Association (RMSA) is a nonprofit professional organization established for the research, development and education of responsible management systems and practices to support the United Nations Global Compact initiative.

What is the objective of RMSA?

The objective of RMSA is to champion responsible management by developing a new generation of business leaders capable of managing the complex challenges faced by business, society and the environment in the global economy.

ESG Professional Designations

Which types of certifications does RMSA offer?

RMSA offers three types of professional certification for qualified applicants:

  • ESG Certified Professional®
  • ESG Certified Analyst®
  • ESG Certified Auditor®
What are the benefit of the ESG Certified Professional Program?

ESG Certified Professional is the professional designation for individuals who have documented training, proven knowledge and action skills in the art of principles of ESG management, responsible management system, auditing and reporting.

What are the benefit of the ESG Certified Analyst Program?

ESG Certified Analyst is the professional designation for individuals who have documented training, proven knowledge and action skills in the art of ESG integration, valuation, measurement and investment analysis.

Will there be any tests or assessments involved for Certified ESG Training?

There are no tests or written examinations. Assessment is based on the Action Learning Project. Performance requirements are specified for each project, and the applicants are required to select an organization with which they’re familiar to carry out research on it.

What are the requirements for the Action Learning Project of Certified ESG Training?

An Action Learning Project usually requires a report of 3,000 to 5,000 words.

Will additional chances be given to those who initially fail the Action Learning project?

Candidates who failed the project will be given one additional chance to re-submit before the deadline.

What are the basic requirements for interested applicants of Professional Certifications?

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional-level position with a Master’s degree or higher, OR
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional level position with Bachelor’s degree, OR
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level position with a high school diploma.

How can I acquire the learning materials and related resources?

The course will consist of the following components:

  • A glossary of terms and definitions as a learning tool throughout the course.
  • A free copy of the CR8001 ESG Management Standard.
  • A free copy of the study materials.
  • External links to additional books, documents and websites related to the study.
  • A Community Discussion Board will be available for participants to post questions or comments visible to the instructor and other participants. The discussion board will be moderated by the program director of RMSA.
What is the criteria of Assessment for Certified ESG Training ?

The performance requirements of the Action Learning Project involve selecting an organization with which you are familiar with in order to develop a report on ESG Analysis, Planning and Implementation for chosen the organization.

Do you have any tips about the Assessment for Certified ESG Training ?

The assignment will ask you to consider how you would design, plan and implement the project, given your learning from the modules. You are not being asked to advise how this process happens, rather how you would approach the Action Learning Project in the future. It is more reflective than application based.

The assessment criteria will be based on the following:

  • The Approach : the extent to which ESG planning, procedures and infrastructure are in place to meet the specific responsible management system requirements.
  • The Deployment : the extent to which the responsible management system requirements is being implemented.
  • The Method : the extent to which the ESG tools and methods are used to analyse the ESG information and data.
  • The Effectiveness: the extent to which the key performance indicators are identified, measured and reported.

What is the qualification to apply Fellowship Award?
  1. Honor may have evidence of conferences, workshops and seminars in which you attended and taken forward the knowledge or practice base, or
  2. Honor may have evidence of originality in your research, publications and public service, or
  3. Honor may have evidence of effective knowledge dissemination with distinguishable outcomes in the public domain.
What is the categories of Fellowship Award?
  1. Honorary Fellowship, designated as FRMA (Hons.)
  2. Doctoral Fellowship, designated as DRMA
  3. Professional Fellowship, designated as FRMA public domain.
What is Honorary Fellowship?
Honorary Fellowship is conferred upon any individual who has shown outstanding and noteworthy achievement as a scholar and exemplar of RMSA’s mission in sustainability and social responsibility fields.
What is Doctoral Fellowship?
Doctoral Fellowship is conferred upon any individual who holds a doctoral degree from a recognized educational institution, and through initial research achievement in sustainability and social responsibility fields.
What is Professional Fellowship?

Responsible Business Global Charter

How does the Responsiblecompany® Global charter compare to other charters?

What should a company do after signing the Global Charter?

The Global Charter is supported by the CR8001 ESG Management Standards, against which the management system can be assessed, implemented and audited. Based on the Principle of Responsible Management, an organization should take action to improve its ESG performance. How will the signatories be monitored?

After signing the Global Charter, an organization has to provide ESG report within 2 years. Signatories are expected to implement the ESG management and reporting system to demonstrate its progress on the ESG performance. The ESG reporting framework requires the disclosure of strategy, policy, key performance indicators and operations of an organization.

Is the Global Charter legally enforceable?

No. The Global Charter is a voluntary scheme and is not legally enforceable in any jurisdiction or legal system. It is a document which represents a systematic effort to focus on the commitment of the organization towards sustainable development and Principles of Responsible Management.

How can the Global Charter be used?

Many companies find that there are a variety of ways to implement the sustainable programs, as there is a lack of consensus towards an integrated approach for developing an effective responsible management system. The Global Charter can be used as:

  1. An integrated framework for creating sustainable development policies and plans at all levels;
  2. The guiding principles for the ongoing development of a responsible organization;
